The city of Eindhoven in the Netherlands, is the home of the first of its kind in the world, a floating circular cycle bridge called Hovenring, catering for cyclists and pedestrians. Measuring about 72 meters in diameter, the bridge is suspended from a single 70 meter pylon located at the centre of the round about by 24 cables. It appears to float over a large junction of motorized traffic. Decorated with thin decks and conspicuous lighting, the beauty of the bridge is enhanced at night.
