Paintings by Amy Shackleton from Toronto
Amy Shackleton is a Toronto based artist paints representational works with drip technique reserved for abstraction. She applies the paint with squeeze bottles and rotates her canvas to guide each drip as it falls down the stretched surface. Thorough planning, measuring and layering is involved in creating her wonderful paintings.
Amy received her BFA Honours Degree from New York University in 2008. Amy Shackleton paintings have been exhibited in New York, London, Toronto, Montreal and Calgary. She was a finalist in the 2010 Signature Art Awards at Degree Art Gallery in London and nominated for the 2010-2011 Palm Art Awards in Germany.
