Excellent Micro Sculptures by Willard Wigan from Britain
Willard Wigan is a 55 year old British Sculptor who creates wonderful, tiny, microscopic sculptures which are regarded as the smallest sculptures in the world. He uses only a scalpel and a microscope to create these wonderful sculptures.
Willard has created many spectacular sculptures which includes a minute reproduction of Michelangelo’s David, carved out of a single grain of sand and a commissioned miniature version of the Lloyd’s building in London, a statue of astronaut Buzz Aldrin in the eye of a needle, a microscopic Betty Boop and a copy of the FIFA World Cup trophy, nine camels inside the head of a needle. Willard Wigan has created around 160 sculptures.
